To understand how our users will engage with TVNZ+ Ways to Watch page.
Competitor Analysis
By analysing our competitors’ Ways to Watch page equivalent, we understand our user’s expectations in trying to find out the different ways to watch TVNZ+.
Some of the critical features I closely looked at were content presented when landing (above browser viewport), page body layout and how shows were being promoted.
Identify common patterns and visual trends to direct design.
Marketing and Content Opportunities
By working with the marketing and content teams, we can open opportunities to promote key shows and product features in parallel with the information on how to watch TVNZ+.
Discover business opportunities to advertise shows.
Evaluate Current Build
Identify all the elements that are working and those that are not needed. Evaluate design style and behaviour.
Creating an engaging, modern and dynamic page to help users learn.
Reflection
Redesigning the Ways to Watch page allowed me to strengthen the brand and translate it into a unique page of learning for our users. The project also allowed me to work with other departments of the business.
The project was delightful, and we are all pleased with the final implementation.
